🇺🇸🇮🇷 Nuclear Talks Breakdown: The Path Ahead for the US and Iran
Without diplomacy, there is only one option
“Unless some kind of diplomatic miracle takes place, the nuclear talks will not restart, and Tehran will accelerate its development of nuclear weapons.”
In the blink of an eye, optimism has disappeared, as the US and Iran announced the next round of nuclear talks would be delayed. Neither side has a clear explanation. Iran says it is over “logistical reasons” - a vague reasoning that does not make much sense in the world of geopolitics.
The US on the other hand has made a triple move.
First, Trump threatened to ban any country that bought oil from Iran from trading with the US, cutting into Iran’s export revenues, which provide almost 25% of the country’s GDP. Within this, between 40% to 50% of Iran’s export revenues come from oil trade.
