The nuclear talks between the US and Iran are shaking.

A short-lived moment of breakthrough, when Washington said it would allow Iran to enrich uranium in a proposed nuclear deal, was quickly walked back by US President Donald Trump himself, who made it clear that America’s position on Iranian uranium enrichment remained the same: it must be zero. Of course, Iran has rejected such a condition, in part because it says it needs to enrich uranium to power nuclear energy plants and produce energy. However, only 1%-2% of Iran’s electricity is produced by its nuclear plants, with natural gas supplying over 80% of the country’s electricity, adding to the mystery of what Iran is doing with its civil nuclear program and uranium enrichment.
