Russia's WW2 Victory Parade Revealed "New Geopolitics"
A march through history, a march into the future
Last weekend, Russia held its 80th WW2 Victory Parade, commemorating the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany in 1945 and the conclusion of the Second World War. A host of leaders traveled to Moscow, including Chinese President Xi Jinping, along with the heads of Brazil, Egypt, Serbia, Slovakia, Venezuela, and the Palestinian Authority.
Equally significant was the presence of North Korea, represented by soldiers, as Pyongyang’s support of Russia in the Ukraine War has become critical. This support goes beyond the almost 15,000 North Korean soldiers that have been sent to aid Russian forces. It also includes logistical support, as between 70% to 100% of the artillery Russia is using in the Ukraine conflict is supplied by North Korea.
