By all measures, the US and Iran have returned to war. Except, this phase is completely different from the past. What the US is striking, like bridges that connect Iran with China, and what Iran is warning, like that no energy will move from the Strait of Hormuz, changes the global calculations. This is a new war with new shockwaves that put the US and the world on a dangerous trajectory.
