The American conservative has been standing on new terrain for some time.
Since 2016, and the first election of Donald Trump as US President, the lines have blurred between American conservatism and MAGA (Make America Great Again). While these were separate camps, even movements, over time they have morphed into a single entity.
Today, in the US, being a conservative increasingly means being part of the MAGA crowd and pro-Trump. The GOP has quickly become Trump’s party, augmenting, eroding, or reinforcing traditional conservative values.
