Fascinating reframing of what sovereignty actually means in pratice. The idea that keeping allies dependent is now part of the sovereignty calculus alongside traditional defense concerns is a major shift. Worked in supply chain analytics and saw similar logic play out with rare earth minerals, where strategic positioning becomes more valuble than pure economic efficiency. Taiwan's gamble here could backfire tho if it acellerates Western onshoring efforts.

Agreed, a major shift in sovereignty. Not the traditional way of thinking about it. And yes, agreed, Taiwan's push to protect itself could have serious blowback.
